I was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 14, 1972 and am the oldest of four children. My parents divorced when I was a child and that greatly altered my life and understanding of love. It is the search for love and wholeness that has been the mainstay of my spiritual journey ever since.
As a toddler, I was diagnosed with a bilateral hearing loss. I was fitted with hearing aids in both ears and raised to look, act and sound like a "normal" hearing child. I was able to speak, was mainstreamed in a class of gifted and talented students, and spent the next 15 years doing my best to not be deaf.
By my teen years I was a rebellious gothic punker who excelled at deviance. During these years, I had a spiritual awakening and became interested in arcane topics such as alien visitation, Tarot, ESP, crystal healing, telekinesis, vampires, and witches, and read everything I could get my hands on about these topics.
When I was 14, a dear friend gave me a book called “The Old Soul's Guide to the Universe” by Joya Pope. The book was an introduction to a spiritual philosophy called the Michael Teachings. I found this book fascinating and eagerly absorbed as much information about the Michael Teachings as I could. It was a whole new way of looking at life, understanding myself and other people, and it made complete sense to me. I’ve been a student of these Teachings for over 20 years.
I have a Sociology degree from Augsburg College. While there, I also cultivated my artistic and writing abilities by studying art history, sculpture, participated in Augsburg's art and literary publication, and wrote features for the school newspaper.
Upon graduation, I moved with a friend to the Phillips neighborhood in Minneapolis where I lived for three years and began the job I’d have for the next nine years.
For 9 years I worked as an assistive technology specialist with the PACER Center, in their Simon Technology Center. I worked directly with families who had a child with a disability and also with adults with disabilities. I helped them find the right software and assistive technology that could improve their lives. I organized a software loan library, provided consultations, presented workshops and in-services to professionals and parents, researched and wrote articles for national publication and touched the lives of hundreds of children and families. In 2004, I for health reasons I had to leave my job and with a great deal of time on my hands, I began my healing quest in earnest. This included the exploration of alternative healing modalities such as energy healing, MetAlign Therapy, acupuncture, as well as mainstream medicine and therapy.
During this time, I worked for a year with a spiritual life coach named Kimberly Errigo (Touches the Sky). She worked with me on forgiveness, setting goals, healing my soul, and was an amazing voice of reason and compassion. She inspired me to want to do similar work for others, which is how Innergo Studio came to be.
By October of 2002, I had married and moved to the West Seventh neighborhood of St. Paul. I met with a small group of women who were also students of the Michael Teachings. Since these ladies were also interested in other topics, from them I learned a great deal about homeopathy, Tarot, channeling, and energy healing.
During these intense years of self-healing, I read Machaelle Wright's book “The Co-creative White Brotherhood Medical Assistance Program (MAP).” I also began using Perelandra Flower Essences. I used the MAP technique to heal myself, my pets, and other people.
In the summer of 2006, I began learning Reiki from a woman based in Arizona. However, I felt the need to work with someone in person, so in September, 2006 I began working with Rev. Susan H. Aguirre, a Reiki Master/Teacher based in St. Paul.
I was certified as a Reiki Level I practitioner on Oct. 12, 2006. Even at that beginniner level, I began working with volunteer Reiki clients and experienced firsthand the amazingly powerful gift that I had been given. Although the Life Force Energy I work with cannot be seen, it can be felt, and there were many who I worked with who found relief from pain and stress from a single Reiki treatment.
I completed my Reiki Master Training in March 2008. At that time I also took over the organizer role for the Twin Cities Energy Healers Meetup group and planned events and activities for the members for almost a year. This allowed me to make many new connections with others in the healing community and learn about the vast array of resources available.
I also took workshops to learn more about Extreme Kinesiology with Dr. Bill Gustafson and completed the Foundations of MetAlign Therapy course with Lucille Crow. I have also studied aromatherapy, optimal healing environments and set up my own comfortable Reiki and Healing Room at my home in St. Paul where I work one-on-one with people who request my services.
I chose to become an ordained Minister through the Universal Life Church in March, 2009, and have ministered to many, heard confessions, held funeral services for people and animals, and have strengthened my connection to the Creator and work on behalf of that Divine Source of energy to benefit humankind.
If you have additional questions about me, please send an email. I am very open about my own struggles and challenges and hope to help others who are also struggling by sharing the tools I have with them to speed their evolutionary process and live more loving, fuller, more satisfactory lives.
Peace to you!
